SuperReturn US West 2026: What to Expect

PE Firm Index Editorial · September 5, 2026 · 7 min read

SuperReturn US West 2026 runs September 14-15, 2026 at the Four Seasons Beverly Hills in Los Angeles. The organiser describes the format as 350+ private market leaders, 100+ LPs and 150+ GPs across two main conference days, with LP-only sessions, roundtables and a single-family-office breakfast running alongside the main stage.

Everything below is compiled from the event organiser’s own public pages, current as of publication. Agendas and speaker rosters change; treat this as a planning aid rather than a final programme, and check the official pages before you build your schedule.

The shape of the programme

Two themes dominate the published agenda. The first is liquidity - DPI over IRR, GP-led continuation vehicles, secondaries, and the 2021/2022 vintage overhang. The second is operations and AI: how much of the return now has to be manufactured inside the portfolio rather than through multiple expansion, and where AI actually changes deal sourcing, diligence and portfolio company economics.

For anyone working on the value-creation side of private equity, the operating-heavy sessions cluster on Day One late morning and Day Two morning.

Day One - Monday, September 14

  • 08:00 Registration, welcome coffee and networking. An invitation-only LP breakfast runs in parallel.
  • 09:05 Keynote panel: the private markets pulse check - trends shaping 2026 performance, fundraising and deployment.
  • 09:45 Ownership: when operations determine the outcome. Longer holds, leverage and cash generation.
  • 10:05 Keynote LP panel: building resilience - allocator strategy in volatile markets.
  • 11:15 Mid-market momentum: driving growth and value creation, including the lower mid-market.
  • 11:55 GP-led continuation vehicles and liquidity solutions. An LP-only session on the 2021/2022 overhang runs at the same time.
  • 12:35 The consolidation of private credit: is the market too crowded?
  • 14:20 LATAM opportunities: nearshoring, reshoring and industrial growth.
  • 14:55 Resource security as an asset class: energy, water and national defence.
  • 15:50 Is the grass evergreen? Permanent capital versus traditional fund structures.
  • 16:30 The private wealth surge: democratising private markets.
  • 17:05 The geopolitics of growth: trade deficits, tariffs and the USMCA review.

Day Two - Tuesday, September 15

  • 08:00 Registration and networking, with a single-family-office breakfast alongside.
  • 09:05 Keynote panel: redefining private equity success through AI integration.
  • 09:45 Keynote: agentic AI - from efficiency tool to investment thesis.
  • 10:05 Keynote LP panel: DPI vs. IRR and the mandate for realised distributions.
  • 11:15 Sports and entertainment: unlocking growth in rising-valuation sectors.
  • 11:50 Roundtables: SaaS valuations, technology in secondaries, underwriting in a recession-wary market, scaling lower-middle-market businesses, and co-investment.
  • 12:35 Lunch, plus a women in private markets networking lunch.
  • 13:40 The emerging manager dilemma: competing for capital in a risk-averse world.
  • 14:15 Fundraising survival guide. An LP-only session on the AI due diligence stack runs at the same time.

  • If you own assets: the operating sessions - Day One at 09:45 and 11:15, Day Two at 09:05 - are where hold-period economics and AI adoption in portfolio companies get discussed concretely.
  • If you need liquidity: continuation vehicles on Day One at 11:55 and the secondaries roundtable on Day Two.
  • Sector focus: health care and consumer both close out Day Two; resource security and LATAM sit in the Day One afternoon.
