BC Partners

BC Partners was founded in 1986 as Baring Capital Investors to advise funds providing development capital for management buyouts. Following the collapse of Barings Bank in 1995, the firm's principals completed a spin-out to become the independent entity known today as BC Partners. Over the decades, it has grown into one of the largest European private equity firms, raising several record-breaking buyout funds such as BC European Capital VIII and X.

The firm operates with a global perspective, maintaining major offices in London, New York, Paris, and Hamburg. It focuses on large-cap buyouts and has completed over 100 private equity investments since its inception, representing a total enterprise value exceeding 145 billion euros. While originally centered on European deals, it has significantly expanded its footprint in North America, participating in some of the largest leveraged buyouts in history.

In addition to its flagship private equity strategy, BC Partners has diversified its platform to include dedicated credit and real estate investment arms. The firm is known for its ability to commit substantial equity—up to 2 billion euros—to single transactions, competing directly with major global alternative asset managers like Blackstone, KKR, and CVC.
