Court Square Capital Partners is a private equity firm headquartered in New York City that traces its origins back to Citicorp Venture Capital, founded in 1968. The firm officially spun out of Citigroup in 2006, taking its name from the location of Citigroup's offices at One Court Square in Queens. Historically, the firm's predecessor began focusing on leveraged buyout transactions in the 1980s. Since its independent founding, Court Square has completed over 150 investments, deploying more than $4.5 billion in capital.
