Bridgepoint Group plc is a British private investment company listed on the London Stock Exchange and a constituent of the FTSE 250 Index.
Bridgepoint was founded in 1984 as NatWest Equity Partners, the private equity arm of NatWest. The firm became independent in May 2000 following a management buyout and was subsequently renamed Bridgepoint Capital. Since its independence, the firm has raised numerous flagship funds, including the Europe VI and VIII funds, the latter of which secured commitments of over €6 billion at its first close in 2026.
The firm focuses on middle-market buyouts and development capital, primarily within Europe. Over the decades, it has expanded its reach through strategic acquisitions, such as the 2023 purchase of Energy Capital Partners to bolster its infrastructure and renewables capabilities, and the 2026 acquisition of the restructuring firm Interpath. In July 2021, the firm transitioned to a public company, listing on the London Stock Exchange.
