Eurazeo is a leading French private equity firm and investment group headquartered in Paris, managing a diversified portfolio of assets across various sectors globally.

Eurazeo was formed in April 2001 through the merger of two investment companies, Eurafrance and Azeo. Azeo's roots trace back to Gaz et Eaux, founded in 1881, which transitioned from a water utility to a pure investment company by the 1990s. Eurafrance, founded in 1969, had been a long-term shareholder in Azeo before launching a full takeover bid in 2000. Following the merger, Eurazeo executed several major operations to shape its portfolio, including the absorption of Rue Impériale and ANF, and the divestment of historical holdings in Generali and Lazard.

The firm focuses on a wide range of investment strategies, significantly expanding its scale through the 2017 acquisitions of a 30% stake in the US-UK firm Rhône Group and a majority interest in Idinvest Partners. These moves effectively doubled the firm's assets under management. Eurazeo operates across multiple divisions, including a dedicated PME division for small and medium-sized enterprises and a growth equity arm.

Historically, Eurazeo has been active in acquiring and scaling companies across various industries, from car rentals and parking lot management to luxury fashion and consumer goods. Notable activity includes the creation of the confectionery group Carambar & Co through the acquisition of several brands from Mondelez International and the acquisition of Beekman 1802 to expand its presence in the consumer goods market.
