Founded in 1984 as a spin-out from TA Associates by Peter Brooke, Advent International has grown into one of the world's largest private equity firms. The firm raised its first fund in 1985 for Nabisco and has since completed more than 375 transactions in 42 countries. Throughout the 1990s and 2000s, Advent expanded its operations globally, establishing a significant presence in Europe and Latin America, where it has raised some of the region's largest private equity funds.
