EQT AB is a leading Swedish global investment organization that manages funds investing in private equity, infrastructure, real estate, and venture capital.

Founded in 1994 by SEB, AEA Investors, and Investor AB, EQT AB has grown into one of the largest private equity firms globally. Based in Stockholm, Sweden, the firm was established under the leadership of founding chairman Conni Jonsson and remains closely tied to the Wallenberg family and Investor AB. The firm underwent a significant transition in 2019 when it went public via an initial public offering on the Nasdaq Stockholm.

EQT operates through several specialized investment divisions including Infrastructure, Private Capital Europe & North America, Real Estate, and Private Wealth. The firm has significantly expanded its global footprint through major acquisitions, such as Life Sciences Partners in 2021 and Baring Private Equity Asia (BPEA) in 2022, the latter of which was rebranded as EQT Private Capital Asia.

As of 2026, EQT is ranked as the second largest private equity firm worldwide based on funds raised. The firm manages a diverse portfolio across multiple continents and is known for its active ownership approach in sectors ranging from healthcare and technology to renewable energy and transportation.
