Founded in 2001 by former Goldman Sachs partner J. Christopher Flowers, J.C. Flowers & Co. is a private equity firm that focuses exclusively on the global financial services industry. The firm is headquartered in New York City and has invested more than $15 billion in capital across various financial sub-sectors since its inception.

The firm manages multiple private equity funds, most notably J.C. Flowers I LP and J.C. Flowers II LP, which closed with $900 million and $7.0 billion in committed capital respectively. J.C. Flowers is known for its involvement in high-profile, complex transactions within the banking and insurance sectors, often targeting distressed or transitioning institutions.
