The firm has historically managed a diverse range of media assets, notably through its InterMedia Outdoor Holdings subsidiary. In 2005, the firm gained political visibility when former U.S. Senator Tom Daschle joined as a senior adviser. InterMedia eventually sold its outdoor media division to Kroenke Sports & Entertainment, which subsequently rebranded the assets as Outdoor Sportsman Group.
