Harbert Management Corporation (HMC) is an investment management company headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama, founded in 1993 by Raymond J. Harbert. The firm manages investment funds across seven alternative asset classes, primarily organized into two areas of concentration: real assets and private capital. The company evolved as a successor entity to the Harbert Corporation, an international construction and energy conglomerate.

The firm maintains a global presence with domestic offices in major cities such as New York, Atlanta, Dallas, and San Francisco, alongside international locations in London, Paris, and Madrid. Historically, HMC was the majority owner of the hedge fund Harbinger Capital, providing its original funding.
