Vista Equity Partners to acquire software firm Quantios from Hg

Hg to sell Quantios, a UK-based provider of SaaS Solutions to the global trust and corporate services industry, to Vista Equity Partners. The transaction is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2026.

Hg, a private equity firm, has agreed to divest Quantios, a U.K.-based provider of SaaS solutions for the global trust and corporate services sector, to Vista Equity Partners. Financial terms of the transaction were not publicly disclosed. The acquisition is anticipated to close in the third quarter of 2026. This deal represents a strategic shift in ownership for Quantios within the private equity landscape.Hg initially invested in the company, then known as TrustQuay, in 2022. Subsequently, in 2023, Hg orchestrated a merger between TrustQuay and ViewPoint, a company previously held by EQT. This merger led to the formation of Quantios, consolidating two entities into a single, larger platform aimed at serving the trust and corporate services industry more comprehensively.During Hg's period of ownership, Quantios expanded its operations, establishing itself as a global platform. The company now collaborates with approximately 700 organizations internationally, providing solutions that include its flagship offerings, Quantios Core and Klea. This growth indicates a significant development in its market penetration and product reach within the specialized software sector.Quantios is led by CEO Guy Harrison. According to Chris Fielding, partner, and Conor Stewart, principal at Hg, Quantios is characterized as a high-quality business. They noted its critical role within its sector and its technological advantages, particularly in the application of artificial intelligence. Their remarks highlight the perceived value and strategic importance of Quantios within the software industry. The transaction indicates a continued interest from private equity firms in the SaaS sector, particularly for companies providing specialized solutions to niche industries like trust and corporate services. The involvement of major players like Hg and Vista Equity Partners suggests that businesses with strong technological foundations and established global client bases remain attractive acquisition targets, reinforcing the trend of consolidation and growth equity investment in enterprise software. This movement highlights the ongoing belief that mission-critical software solutions, especially those incorporating AI, offer robust investment opportunities with potential for further expansion and value creation. This transaction may signal increasing valuations and competition for high-performing SaaS companies in this domain.
