Five Arrows Principal Investments

Five Arrows is the alternative assets division of the multinational financial services group Rothschild & Co. It serves as the firm's primary vehicle for private equity and private credit strategies, managing capital for both the firm itself and for third-party institutional and private investors. As of late 2024, the division oversees approximately 28 billion euros in assets.

The firm's history is deeply rooted in the 2003 merger of the French and British Rothschild banking houses, which consolidated their various investment and merchant banking activities. Historically, the Five Arrows branding refers to the five sons of Mayer Amschel Rothschild, symbolizing the unity of the family's international banking branches. Today, Five Arrows represents a significant pillar of the Rothschild & Co ecosystem, alongside Global Advisory and Wealth and Asset Management.

In addition to traditional private equity, the firm has historically engaged in specialized growth capital through joint ventures, such as Jardine Rothschild Asia Capital founded in 2007. The division plays a key role in Rothschild & Co's broader strategy of alternative asset investing, leveraging the group's global network and century-long history in corporate finance and advisory.
