TPG to acquire Waste Eliminator and Liberty Waste Solutions
This acquisition is the third transaction in TPG’s inaugural transition infrastructure fund following its acquisition of Kinetic and the take-private of Altus Power. The transaction is expected to close by the third quarter of 2026.
TPG has reached an agreement to simultaneously acquire Waste Eliminator and Liberty Waste Solutions. Waste Eliminator is a regional provider of solid waste hauling, disposal, and recycling services, operating in Georgia and South Carolina. Liberty Waste Solutions specializes in integrated waste and recycling solutions in North Carolina. This transaction marks the third acquisition for TPG's inaugural transition infrastructure fund. The fund's previous investments include Kinetic and the take-private of Altus Power. The acquisition is projected to finalize by the third quarter of 2026. This move indicates continued private equity interest in the environmental services sector, specifically in waste management and recycling. It suggests a focus on expanding regional footprints and integrating services within this essential infrastructure segment.
